News Demo farms worldwide: For research, training & global food security 01 November 2018
Water shortage & brown pasture
2018 was an exceptional year, where many countries in Europe went from water surplus to water shortage situation, from green fields to brown patches of soil. Imagine living in a country where you have to deal with this on a daily basis, there are many such areas around the world experiencing similar circumstances year after year, which threatens the food security and livelihood of many small-holder farmers and people who depend on them for food intake.

Climate change
Climate change is happening at a rapid pace, factors such as salinization are forcing the farmers to abandon their farmland and make them move to urban areas looking for job opportunities. This internal migration will cause urban areas to become more congested and the countries will lose their self-sufficiency in food production, since small-holder farmers produce 80% of the food in developing countries.
Global food security through research & knowledge sharing
We want to prepare farmers to adapt to the climate change by equipping them with the knowledge of saline-agriculture and together contribute to the global food security while improving their complete livelihood at the same time. Our knowledge centre is an initiative that has been established to develop and export our knowledge on saline agriculture as a solution for world food and water scarcity.

We have over 12 years of knowledge and expertise based on researches and projects in the Netherlands, Pakistan and Bangladesh. These research and demo farms will create an extensive local impact by showing farmers that saline agriculture methods indeed works and in large number will help to create much-required world-wide awareness.
Global impact through demo farms worldwide
In order for us to create a global impact, we need more support. It took more than four(!) years to find a partner who could help us set up demo farms in Bangladesh. We would like to speed up this process if we are to realize our mission of setting up demo and research farms in other countries, and we need all the help we can get.
Our mission: Prepare farmers to adapt to the climate change by equipping them with the knowledge of saline-agriculture and together contribute to the global food security while improving their livelihood at the same time.
